Olympic Learn to Curl Sessions!
The Curling Club of Houston will host three Learn To Curls during the Olympic games. They will be held on February 19th, 26th, and 27th. Curling will begin at 10:30pm. The cost is $15 per person.
No equipment is needed. Just bring warm clothes and sneakers.
If you would like to watch some curling with fellow enthusiasts, we will be showing live or tape delayed curling games before each of these sessions starting at 9:30pm upstairs in the bar. So come early to Watch and Learn!

Is there any need to reserve a spot for these sessions?

No reservations needed. At most of our sessions there is no wait, but around the Olympics we get more attendees. Hopefully, the waits will be minimal and everyone will get to spend a good amount of time throwing stones!

Anthony, our sessions generally run for 2 hours.
Stephanie, YES, the curling sessions are open to both men and women. There are also no age limits, although children who are under about 12 may have trouble giving the rock enough of a push.
Kristin, Space City Ice Station is the correct location.

How smooth do the bottom of the sneakers we wear need to be? or are you providing something to put on the bottom of them for sliding on the ice? Thanks!
February 27th, 2010 at 12:59 pm
Very interested in future learn to curl sessions. Are any of these sessions open to kids (>10 yrs old)?
February 27th, 2010 at 7:14 pm
Matt, we provide sliders to put on your feet. Just wear normal sneakers!
Jian, sessions are open to anyone. 10 is about the point where kids can really get the stone all the way down the ice, so it is a good point to start curling!
Thanks!
